Drink more water

Get more sleep

Resting gives our body a chance to replenish our skin cells, so it’s always a good idea to get at least 8 hours of sleep a day. Lack of sleep may increase oil production and stress levels, both of which can affect your skin.

Cleanse regularly

Every day, your face becomes exposed to dust, dirt, smog and other pollutants that can clog your pores. This is why cleansing your skin is a must. Develop the habit of using a cleanser on your face twice a day, one in the morning and the other in the evening. 

Stress less

Getting stressed out actually contributes to acne! Stress causes your body to produce glucocorticoids, which are culprit when it comes to skin abnormalities. Try to adopt a positive attitude towards daily activities and keep that smile up as often as you can.

Clean your phone regularly

Your phone is one of the things that are infested with germs and bacteria. In fact, it has more bugs than a toilet seat has! Make sure to clean your phone from time to time, and as much as possible, avoid letting it touch your skin or face. You may use earphones for your calls.

Eat food with Omega-3

Omega-3 is known to control leukotriene B4 production which is responsible for inflammatory acne. Train yourself to be a fan of supplements or food that are high in Omega-3: fish, flaxseed oil, chia seeds, spinach, soybeans, walnuts and more.

Use Sunscreen

It’s difficult to avoid the sun sometimes, especially if you commute to work. So, since you’re out and about all day, it’s smart to protect your skin from UVA rays as these tend to cause acne breakouts. Try to get some shade as often as you can. Otherwise, sunscreens with SPF30 are a good option in keeping your skin safe.
